Cabin John Trail
The Cabin John Trail is the perfect way to spend a nice day outdoors. The trail can be broken up into many segments, but the whole trail covers 8.8 miles from Goya Drive in Rockville to MacArthur Blvd at Clara Barton Parkway. Rated as easy on AllTrails, this is the perfect place to bring your kids or dog on a walk. This trail has been one of my favorite places to go on my weekly walks with my friends and there are always new areas to explore. Most of the trail follows Cabin John Creek, and there are many places throughout the hike where you can break off and walk by the water. When I hike the trail with my kids, we like to rest down by the water as a quick break from hiking. The best thing about this trail is that there are so many areas you can meet up with it, so you can hike as short or as long as you want. You could walk from one end to the other and back again to make it over 17 miles, or you could walk in at any point and turn back when you are tired. I’m always telling my kids, friends, and clients about this beautiful trail located so close to where we live.
